Project Documents

  • Certificate of Award
  • Environmental Impact Statement
  • An Environmental Assessment (EA) is a thorough investigation into ecological, archaeological and socio-economic impacts using methodologies defined under the Environment Act. In accordance with this act, wind energy projects 2MW or larger are required to undertake the EA process. In contrast, an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) is a preliminary investigation into many of the same issues, based on existing environmental data, and a site survey. In accordance with COMFIT requirements, potential impacts identified in the EIS must be studied further to determine the effect of the proposed project, and respective management/mitigation plans.
  • We will be following up on the recommendations as outlined in the Environmental Impact Statement and a full Environmental Assessment is being undertaken at this time. We will share the completed document on this site when it is published.
